Overview Of The Role:
- The Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting the strategic financial initiatives of the Global aftersales division by managing the financial and operating planning, budgeting, and reforecasting processes. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to enhance business performance and profitability by delivering value-added insights and actionable reports. The Finance Business Partner leads management reporting efforts, with a focus on improving financial performance and operational efficiency. The position demands strategic engagement with the heads of business and operations teams to align financial goals with business objectives and ensure adherence to standardized processes.
What You Will Do:
Business Partnering
- Provide active support to operational heads to drive business performance and maximize profit.
- Lead financial planning and analysis support during strategic planning activities including annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Conduct variance analysis and highlight areas for improvement.
- Perform feasibility studies for new and retention products to generate incremental profitability.
- Assist in delivering management agendas by identifying and driving initiatives to enhance business and financial performance.
- Participate in all operational stakeholders' meetings, including aftersales service operation committee meetings, monthly closing meetings, and management meetings.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Develop and monitor financial & operational KPIs by division and location to drive profit maximization and ensure smooth operational controls.
- Track and report on performance, highlighting opportunities and concerns for prompt action.
- Analyze performance against targets and present insights and recommendations to operational stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business heads on monthly book closing activities for the division.
- Lead the development of the aftersales reporting roadmap and propose improvements.
- Develop early warning signals through exceptional reporting.
- Ensure standardized processes and accounting practices.
Reporting and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop, review, and monitor monthly management reports with comments for review with the Finance Manager/AGM Finance.
- Submit standard monthly management and Board packs in a timely manner.
- Create and oversee the annual revenue and cost budget forecasting process.
- Maintain an effective reporting cycle to monitor business momentum and highlight potential issues.
- Develop and maintain regular reports such as business scorecards, revenue reports, and pipeline reports.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong financial and business acumen, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
- Advanced data analytical and interpretation skills with a focus on P&L.
- Ability to drive initiatives for business performance improvement.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Business degree is mandatory.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the automotive after-sales industry, preferably with an original equipment (OE) supplier or a major original equipment services (OES) vendor.
- Proven commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong data analytical, evaluation, and interpretation skills, including knowledge of P&L and business acumen.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and influence at a senior level; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Target-oriented with a desire to exceed challenging goals.
