Overview of the Role

Are you a skilled Truck Technician with hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical repairs? FAMCO,  part of the Al-Futtaim Group is looking for two highly motivated and technically proficient Truck Technicians to join our team in Dubai. This is a great opportunity to work with one of the UAE’s most respected names in commercial vehicles and contribute to keeping our clients' trucks running at peak performance.

What You Will Do

•    Diagnose, troubleshoot, and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy trucks.
•    Conduct component overhauls and ensure high-quality service delivery.
•    Accurately identify faults and implement effective, timely solutions.
•    Use tools and follow service manual guidelines to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
•    Deliver emergency and field service support, including breakdown assistance.
•    Utilize online diagnostic tools to support repair accuracy.
•    Follow checklists and workshop manuals to deliver service excellence, "right the first time.

Required Skills to Be Successful

•    Proven hands-on experience with truck repair and maintenance (2–3 years minimum).
•    Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work independently on repairs, overhauls, and service tasks.
•    Familiarity with workshop tools, manuals, and diagnostic equipment.
•    Clear understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy vehicles.
•    Volvo Truck experience is a distinct advantage.

You’ll be working within a professional, high-performance workshop team under the supervision of the Workshop Foreman. Our team is dedicated to delivering 24/7 uptime support for our clients, making reliability and teamwork critical to success. We foster a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement.

What Equips You for the Role

•    Basic or technical education or apprenticeship in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
•    Trade Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field.
•    2–3 years’ hands-on experience in truck repair and diagnostics.
•    Experience with Volvo Trucks (preferred).
•    UAE Driving License (advantageous).
•    Willingness to work under pressure and respond to emergency service needs.
