We are currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join our Group Tax Team in the capacity of Senior Tax Analyst.

 

Overview of the role
This position is responsible for executing the Group tax strategy within all markets where the Group is operational. It may include interacting with tax authorities to clear up tax discrepancies, review and analyze data to obtain tax benefits, as well as create informative reports for Senior Executives. It also involves managing the Tax Operating Model which involves working with tax community member for the Group.

Collaborate closely with internal teams, tax advisors and tax authorities to optimize Al Futtaim Group Real Estate Companies tax position and minimize risk.

Be detail-oriented professional with extensive knowledge of tax legislation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

What you will do

Implement Tax Strategies

  • Implement tax strategies aligned with Al Futtaim Group’s goals and objectives in line with Tax Operating Model.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact to the Al Futtaim Group Real Estate Companies and recommend appropriate actions to businesses.

Tax Compliance Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Provide guidance to Al Futtaim Group Real Estate Companies on maintaining records and documents required to support tax filings and response to tax audits/ enquiries.

Tax Risk Management

  • Conduct regular tax risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate tax-related risks.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to prevent tax-related errors.
  • Collaborate with different functions in Al Futtaim Group Companies to manage tax risk effectively.

Tax Reporting and Analysis

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax provisions and tax disclosures in financial statements.
  • Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide recommendations to management.
  • Prepare tax-related reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement automation tools and technologies to enhance tax compliance and reporting.
  • Continuously evaluate and update tax policies and procedures to align with best practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationship with external auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and information for tax-related matters.
  • Communicate tax strategies, risks, and opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders.

 

Required skills to be successful

  • Big 4 Accounting Firm experience required
  • GCC VAT knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Regional tax knowledge would be a plus

 

What equips you for the role

  • Tax, Finance or Accounting certified
  • 6+ years in an international tax environment with a strong experience of Corporate tax laws
