Overview of the role
This position works as part of the application delivery and support team, to assist with solution support and development activities. It provides a dedicated and professional solution knowledge base, together with deployment and domain expertise. The role also warrants team leadership and organizational skills to manage the client, guide internal/external teams to derive the solution, drive the implementation and facilitate successful delivery. The role will be a key in providing support to the team that is tasked with building and testing the end solution and ongoing enhancements. Implementing appropriate processes to drive high quality and sustainable solutions will be critical. The candidate is also responsible for Manage & lead the development & support activities from the extended external consultants’ team.
What you will do
- To Manage expectations of stakeholders, coordinate and ensure completion of tasks with all component development teams and external consultants.
- To Consult, propose, teach, troubleshoot, setup application solutions and maintain Retail application built on Kibo to agreed service level standards.
- Participates and adheres to DevOPS framework.
- Develops and maintains documentation for technical solution modifications.
- Liaise with software suppliers and the Change Management team for problem resolution and deployment of system changes.
- Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls.
- Work with internal and external implementation team members and partners to contribute to the development, testing and deployment of Kibo solutions.
- Adheres to DevOPS software development and maintenance standards by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of internal and external development best practices.
- Estimate and deliver multiple projects assignments and system change requests as per agreed resourcing and timelines with required quality.
- Working with an engaged team to plan and prioritise their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals (with managers) and support to continually improve their performance and results.
- Develop team in line with target competencies and build adequate bench strength for future.
- Resources assigned to project teams, to be managed as appropriate to the needs of application support priorities
Required Skills to be successful
- Proven experience in leading a team of developers and managing e-commerce projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing eCommerce application.
- Strong hands-on experience in KIBO Order management system and unified Commerce Platforms
- Good analytical and communication skills with knowledge in problem/change management process
- Should be a team player and work across various Teams and proven documentation skills
- Ability to provide coaching & knowledge transfer to team members, including ensuring that resources have proper understanding of the System landscape and technologies.
What equips you for the role
- College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years in in e-commerce development, with a strong focus on the Kibo Commerce platform, architecture, configuration, and customization and be able to manage reuse of existing KIBO solutions (with a Kibo Commerce certification).
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Retail domain experience is preferable.
- Experience in 3-4 complex Retail project implementations with proficiency in web technologies, including backend and frontend.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.
- Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing best practices.
