• As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable business insights, primarily by evaluating and integrating new data sources into the Azure Data platform. Your work will ensure that data is structured for effective business intelligence and analytics, helping the organization make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

Data Transformation and Integration

• Design, document, develop, implement, and test rapid prototypes to demonstrate data value to business audiences.
• Engage in early-stage design discussions and feature definition, predefining potential insights to shape future projects.
• Develop and support the integration of new data streams into the Azure Data platform, ensuring data accessibility, reliability, and structure.

Data Engineering and Management

• Build and manage reusable and scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flows for efficiency.
• Convert business requirements into Technical and Functional Specification Documents (TSDs and FSDs).
• Assist with regular reporting queries and support developers in using tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and Azure.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work collaboratively with team members across multiple engineering teams to integrate prototypes into core intelligence products.
• Guide both internal and external teams using agile and waterfall project methodologies to ensure timely and on-spec business deliveries.
• Act as a senior team member providing leadership in dynamic project environments.

• Strong analytical skills in handling and deriving insights from unstructured datasets.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for deploying ADF pipelines and continuous integration.
• Expertise in Python, PySpark, and related data engineering components.
• Ability to adapt to both agile and waterfall project delivery methodologies.

• Robust working knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.
• Proven experience in big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Python, PySpark, MongoDB, GraphDB, and SQL.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering with Azure and Databricks.
