Overview Of The Role:
- The Supervisor role is pivotal in coordinating and overseeing effective management of the shop floor, bridging the gap between sales staff and store management. The role requires managing client relationships, sales operations, and ensuring a seamless selling experience. Successful performance is characterized by achieving store KPIs such as sales and transactional metrics. The Supervisor must be able to mediate between customer needs and operational requirements, maintaining high standards of service and store presentation.
What You Will Do:
Client and Business Development
- Support the team in building long-term client relationships leveraging various clienteling tools.
- Enhance the 'client state of mind' among the team.
- Ensure the team has extensive product knowledge.
- Assist store management in achieving business objectives, projects, and initiatives like reporting, sales analysis, and product training.
Selling & Floor Management
- Effectively oversee the shop floor to ensure maximum floor coverage during peak trading periods.
- Act as a role model demonstrating sales leadership to the team.
- Provide support during the selling ceremony when necessary.
Operations
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the facility.
- Accurately process all POS transactions and inventory functions such as transfers, receiving, repairs, and damages to maintain inventory integrity.
- Adhere to loss prevention policies and operational procedures.
Leadership Presence
- Exemplary performer across all functions.
- Effectively resolve customer complaints, exchanges, and inquiries.
- Serve as the liaison between staff and management around potential performance concerns.
- Propose and implement action plans for efficient processes and store organization.
- Educate team on sales plans, personal sales goals, and KPIs.
Others
- Be an ambassador of the brand, culture, quality, and know-how.
- Ensure store presentation standards are achieved and maintained.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong leadership and sales management skills.
- Proficiency in retail operational procedures including POS and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the retail or hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of the fashion/beauty industry and current trends.
- Strong retail operational skills, including stock management, visual merchandising, systems, and cash handling.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent relationship-building skills paired with integrity and trust.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiatives proactively.
- Proficiency in computer skills and strong communication capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
