Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and providing an excellent customer experience in the market hall area of IKEA stores. This role involves supporting operational duties assigned by the shopkeeper, such as arranging products and maintaining the sales floor. Success in this role includes meeting sales targets, adhering to work schedules, and following company policies while representing IKEA positively.
What You Will Do:
Sales
- Generate sales by actively engaging with customers and promoting products.
- Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
- Provide current and relevant information to customers to assist with their purchasing decisions.
Customer Experience
- Create a positive first impression for customers through an energetic attitude.
- Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
- Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise, the brand, and the company.
- Deliver a positive customer experience in the market hall area.
Operational Duties
- Maintain store standards and cleanliness to ensure a sparkling clean and organized environment.
- Participate in all market hall inventories and store meetings.
- Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
- Adhere to designated work schedule and be punctual.
- Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School Degree.
- 1 year of retail sales experience.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift certain products and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Warm and friendly greeting, customer focus, and adherence to Al-Futtaim and IKEA values.
