Overview of the role

Great opportunity for skilled and certified Bus Technician within Volvo FAMCO, Al Futtaim in Dubai. Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing on buses.

What you will do

•    Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshoot and diagnose faults on buses.
•    Recommend effective solutions and ensure the job is done right the first time.
•    Identify potential problem causes proactively while attending jobs both in the workshop and the field.
•    Use tools and adopt best practices as mentioned in service manuals to improve productivity and efficiency.
•    Read, understand, and implement instructions in workshop manuals. Use service checklists where applicable and available.
•    Provide 24x7 service support to customers to ensure vehicle/bus uptime and avoid delays at all costs.
•    Offer emergency support in case of breakdowns.

Required skills to be successful
•    At least 2 to 3 years of direct experience working on buses, with experience on Volvo buses being greatly desired.
•    BKT (Bus Key Technician) Certification from Volvo Bus Corporation is greatly desired.
•    Basic/Technical Education and/or Apprenticeship.
•    Trade Certificate and/or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
•    Proven technical expertise in independently servicing, repairs, and component overhauls.
•    UAE driving license is an advantage.
