Overview Of The Role:

  • The Procurement Manager (UAE National) is pivotal in shaping and implementing category and sourcing strategies for Media and Marketing across Al Futtaim Group divisions. With a focus on high-value, complex projects, the role involves managing key stakeholder and supplier relationships and driving annual spend in excess of AED 100 million in compliance with AFG Procurement policy. Acting as a strategic partner, the Procurement Manager engages with cross-functional stakeholders and leads efforts to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives. This role demands proactive leadership in driving measurable value, cost savings, and risk mitigation across a diverse and dynamic stakeholder environment.

What You Will Do:

Sourcing Strategy

  • Develop and own comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned categories such as Media & Marketing, linking strategies to measurable targets like cost savings, enhanced service levels, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects such as RFI, RFP, and RFQ for high-value, complex initiatives, selecting appropriate sourcing and negotiation strategies and adapting tactics for optimal commercial and strategic outcomes.

Contract Management

  • Lead negotiation, structuring, and lifecycle management of supplier contracts, ensuring terms, conditions, KPIs, and service level metrics protect AFG's commercial and legal interests.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and other internal subject matter experts as required during the contract management process.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Actively monitor end-to-end procurement compliance within assigned categories, identifying root causes of non-compliance and applying risk management methods to assess and mitigate risk.
  • Drive supplier improvement plans, collaboration initiatives, and corrective actions while balancing performance, risk, and relationship considerations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted business partner and advisor to internal stakeholders, aligning procurement activities to business objectives and influencing decisions through structured, fact-based recommendations.

Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Procurement Executives by providing guidance on sourcing, negotiation, and contract management to build team capability and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

Financial Acumen

  • Apply financial acumen and market intelligence to category and sourcing decisions, incorporating budgeting, cost, tax, and total-cost-of-ownership considerations into commercial negotiations and business case development.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Advanced category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in complex contract negotiations and commercial terms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence capabilities.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or recognized Procurement/Supply Chain certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is advantageous.
  • 4-5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading strategic sourcing projects and managing key supplier relationships, preferably in Marketing and Advertising or related fields.
