Overview Of The Role:
- The Manager of Transformation & Business Excellence is responsible for leading the design and management of Delegation of Authority (DOA), RACI frameworks, and company policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role drives continuous process improvement and governance across departments, enabling effective decision-making and accountability within a dynamic real estate development environment. The role requires strong collaboration with key business stakeholders and consults extensively to integrate systems and workflows, maintaining rigorous policy compliance and operational excellence.
What You Will Do:
Delegation of Authority Design and Management
- Design and manage the company-wide DOA matrix covering financial, operational, and administrative decision rights.
- Establish tools and templates to guide consistent decision execution across departments.
- Ensure alignment of DOA with RACI, processes, and policies.
- Maintain version control and ensure accessibility to all relevant teams.
- Support integration of DOA with workflows, systems (e.g., ERP), and organizational structure.
- Track DOA compliance rates and manage violations or escalations.
- Align functions to DOA controls and systems.
RACI Design and Implementation
- Develop RACI framework for key functions aligned with functional structure and objectives.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to ensure complete understanding of RACI.
- Implement RACI and ensure its alignment with processes, policies, and DOA.
- Optimize the time taken to approve and operationalize RACI.
- Improve stakeholder satisfaction by clarifying the governance model.
Policy Management and Alignment
- Collaborate with external consultants for design of policies.
- Ensure policies align with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
- Align policies with DOA, RACI, and processes.
- Coordinate with Audit, Risk, HR, and Legal for policy endorsement.
- Update policies in response to changing business objectives.
- Lead workshops with stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to policies.
- Increase the percentage of critical policies revised or created.
- Train employees on updated policies to ensure compliance.
Process Management and Alignment
- Collaborate with consultants for design of Value Chain and Processes.
- Ensure all processes comply with legal, regulatory, and internal controls.
- Define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across functions.
- Monitor SLA adherence and escalate deviations.
- Align processes with DOA, RACI, and policies.
- Update processes as business objectives change.
- Conduct workshops to ensure understanding and adherence to processes.
- Revise or create critical processes based on assessments.
- Train employees on revised processes.
Continuous Improvement of Processes
- Conduct gap assessments to identify performance, compliance, quality, and efficiency gaps.
- Research and recommend industry best practices for process improvements.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and integration efforts.
- Facilitate scalable Agile practices across teams.
- Resolve identified gaps and implement improvement actions.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Authority Sensitivity: Ability to manage DOA structures impacting budget control, legal exposure, and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate inputs and approvals from multiple departments for governance tools.
- System & Workflow Integration: Embed DOA and policy controls into ERP and workflow systems.
- Policy Volume and Variation Management: Version-control large, diverse sets of policies with attention to detail.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Corporate Governance.
- 7-10 years of experience in governance, policy management, and compliance roles.
- Experience in real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or heavily regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional governance adoption and manage policy frameworks.
