Overview Of The Role:

The Group Sustainability Manager - Energy & Building Efficiency will lead Al-Futtaim's energy efficiency and building efficiency initiatives, aligning them with global environmental standards. This role focuses on strategy development, project management, carbon reporting, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve sustainability goals. The Manager will also play an integral part in training employees and ensuring regulatory compliance, positioning Al-Futtaim as a leader in sustainable operations.


What You Will Do:

Energy Efficiency Strategies

 

  • Formulate comprehensive energy efficiency strategies across all divisions, including Automotive, Retail, Real Estate.
  • Benchmark against best practices internally and externally to identify improvement gaps for key facilities.
  • Monitor energy performance metrics for key facilities and drive performance improvement and associated KPIs, including CAPEX investment and OPEX savings.

 

Project Management

 

  • Lead and oversee energy efficiency and building efficiency projects, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination to ensure each project meets its objectives.

 

Carbon Measurement and Reporting

 

  • Oversee the sustainability solution for carbon measurement, accounting, and reporting across all divisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Expand the carbon measurement and reporting system to new regions as needed.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

 

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as Facility Management, Division Sustainability, and Finance on energy efficiency projects.
  • Foster cross-divisional and cross-organizational partnerships to drive sustainability objectives.

 

Training and Education

 

  • Provide training and education on energy and building efficiency practices to employees across divisions.
  • Develop training programs, create educational materials, and organize workshops and seminars to increase knowledge and engagement in sustainability practices.

 

Regulatory Compliance

 

  • Stay updated on the latest energy regulations and sustainability trends to ensure compliance.
  • Adapt proactively to new regulations and implement best practices in sustainability.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of energy regulations and sustainability trends.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • A Master's degree in Sustainability, Renewable Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sustainability, energy management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in sustainability software and tools for carbon measurement and reporting.
