Overview Of The Role:
The Kitchen Specialist manages the kitchen department within an IKEA store, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective operations. The role involves developing and executing tactical initiatives aimed at achieving sales objectives while maintaining exceptional service standards. By analyzing key performance indicators, the Kitchen Specialist makes business recommendations and supports sales departments to fulfill annual sales targets. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams and a customer-focused approach to ensure the best shopping experience.


What You Will Do:

  • Actively promote the Kitchen Design Service to boost sales and encourage Add-On Sales.
  • Conduct surveys to understand customer shopping experiences and monitor competitors to identify market gaps.
  • Schedule and track customer appointments to ensure high service levels and reduce waiting times.
  • Collaborate with the Range department to monitor stock levels and recommend order quantities to meet sales targets.
  • Coordinate with Home delivery and assembly teams, auditing kitchen designs and conducting follow-ups on kitchen jobs.
  • Maintain regular customer communication to gain feedback and improve service offerings.
  • Assist in preparing annual business plans and budgets, ensuring informed business decisions are made.
  • Review and analyze daily and monthly KPIs and reports, creating action plans to achieve goals.
  • Control costs through efficient, cost-conscious methods and encourage team innovation.
  • Contribute to the IKEA store's success by working towards sales growth and performance goals.
  • Ensure all staff are trained on design systems and kitchen range products, and provide development support for store performance and succession planning.
  • Prepare productivity plans and supervise kitchen designers to ensure efficiency and budget adherence.
  • Create and manage schedules for kitchen designers, considering peak and non-peak sales days and planning annual leave.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School/Trade School Graduate.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
  • Good grasp of home furnishing markets and trends.
