Overview Of The Role:
The Interior Designer is responsible for the visual presentation of the IKEA product range in the Furniture Showroom. This role requires creativity, commercial awareness, and the ability to adhere to IKEA standards in designing, presenting, and communicating ideas. Success in the role involves contributing to the planning and implementation of store projects, maintaining store presentations and structures, and providing inspiring and functional home furnishing solutions to customers. The Interior Designer plays a key role in ensuring the showroom reflects and enhances the IKEA brand through standards-compliant displays and customer interactions.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in planning in-house projects and prepare drawings and perspectives according to IKEA Concept.
- Implement and maintain all interiors and displays in the showroom.
- Conduct daily inspections of the showroom and ensure that damages are corrected immediately.
- Support the planning and implementation of the store's commercial calendar.
- Maintain all areas in the store in accordance with IKEA standards.
- Follow IKEA manuals to produce functional home furnishing solutions within the store.
- Get involved in other projects relating to activities in the store from time to time, including rebuilding business areas based on feedback related to priorities or performance.
- Assist Visual Merchandisers as required in store projects or activities
- Show customers the extension of range coordination and various ideas for different rooms in the house, complete with accessories.
- Plan and decorate room sets to be inspirational for customers and offer home furnishing solutions.
- Assist customers with solutions for their homes.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Excellent design and creative skills.
- Good knowledge in home furnishing, market, social trends, and fashion.
- Customer-focused with a strong teamwork ethic.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant area.
- Strong drafting, space planning, interior, and architectural design skills.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and home furnishing trends.
