Overview Of The Role:

The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible for operating heavy duty trucks, including car carriers and trailers, to deliver heavy equipment or goods efficiently across the UAE. This role maintains high standards of service, quality, and safety in logistics operations, adhering to company policies to ensure a damage-free and timely delivery. Communication and coordination with the Planning Team and customers are key to providing excellent service and fulfilling the company's mission of delivering the highest level of automotive logistics service in the region.

What You Will Do:

• Drive heavy duty trucks including car carriers, flat bed or low bed trailer trucks, and other heavy goods vehicles.
• Load and unload vehicles to deliver heavy equipment or goods across various UAE locations.
• Maintain economical fuel consumption through good driving practices and ensure the vehicle is full at the end of each shift.
• Inspect trucks, car-carriers, and loads for defects during and after trips and report any defects observed.
• Submit all relevant documents such as Trip Sheets, Fuel Receipts, signed DOs, Police Reports, and Defect Sheets accurately and on time.
• Maintain and accurately update the driver logbook according to company policies.
• Acts as a communication link between customers and planning staff, requiring good communication and diplomacy skills.
• Adhere to company policies regarding vehicle delivery and handling, ensuring a 100% damage-free record.
• Report all accidents or incidents involving company equipment to the Planning Team.
• Follow company Quality SOP for driving and handling new vehicles.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with the company's Health & Safety Policy and have knowledge of basic truck and automotive maintenance procedures.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Proven driving skills with heavy goods vehicles, particularly class 4 with trailers.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE roads and RTA regulations.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills to liaise with customers and planning staff.
• Ability to follow and uphold company policies, including health and safety protocols.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Matriculation passed education.
• At least 2 years of experience driving class 4 vehicles with trailers.
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
• Good team work and time management skills.
