About the Role

 

Role Purpose Dimension :

 

Demand & Supply Planning - Transform demand & supply planning process across ACE & HomeWorks by optimizing buying process (OTB), Inventory holding, Stock Covers, On Shelf availability & stock turns.

 

Range / Category Planning - Develop the seasonal strategy and range plans with Commercial, optimizing width and depth to Support the business planning and maintain one single view of range

 

Master Data – Ensure data / system accuracy to smoothen all operations. Timely updates.

 

PO Management – Maintain import tracker with latest data (dates, quantities, etc.) and give necessary visibility to all stakeholders on the same. Timely reconciliation. Ensure all tracking activities are maintained to have full visibility and clean data.

 

Key Role specific Accountabilities

 

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Maintain OTB process for ACE and regularly monitoring of OTB values by category to bring Buying Control
  • Improving Availability of stock across all stores incl ecom, to avoid opportunity loss
  • Monitoring ageing stock level and building liquidation strategy with Logistics & Buying team through store transfer, clearance & promotions
  • Dashboard maintenance / development from Planning for visibility to all stakeholders at Yr/Quarter/Month/Week/YTD/MTD/ WTD level covering-  OTB  Vs Actual, Stock Cover, RoS  ;
  • Finance- Forecast sales Vs Actual, intake margin; Stock Out, On shelf Availability.
  • Availability / SOH, etc.
  • Optimize the use of JDA-Demand and Supply planning to push the planning functionality, minimize stock out and improve business accuracy
  • S&OP implementation
  • Ensure all trackers and monitoring activities are maintained + develop new where needed in coordination with EIT

Range / Category Planning

  • Collect, analyze, summarize and present category performance to create recommendations and implement improvements in support of category growth strategy
  • Contribute to the seasonal strategy and range plans, optimizing width and depth to Support the business planning calendar with clearly defined exit strategy
  • Finalize a monthly plan at class/sub levels and prepare reports matching a strategy plan for (Quantities, Options, Prices and Suppliers) with Financial parameters and ensure the standards of merchandise procedures and methodologies which are kept uniform
  • Maintain data accuracy and ownership of the complete range
  • Periodic review analysis and optimization of range plan in conjunction with recent sales, margin, inventory forecast and lead team in monthly OTB forecast meetings for current year; provide sales trend opportunity for future quarters, validate stock-to-sales relationships, maximize receipt flow to improve turn, reconcile receipts and suggest pricing strategies to drive profitability
  • Promotion performance tracking and evaluation (Khalas, big promos like DSS, etc.) to give necessary visibility to Business and allow decision making in the event of deviations vs planned communicated from Buying Team

Master Data Management

  • Develop, deliver, and monitor master data management processes in line with Group Policy for use throughout the ACE & HW organization
  • Manage the creation, maintenance and retirement of centralized master data objects (items, BOMs, vendors, pricing, etc) to support product trials, launches and product changes, etc.
  • Building governance of master data creation and maintenance for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and management of master data. Compliance with business standards and procedures, as well as work to continuously improve data standards, quality, reporting, and processes
  • Ensure all trackers and monitoring activities are maintained + develop new where needed in coordination with EIT
  • Develop, deliver, and monitor master data management processes in line with Group Policy for use throughout the ACE & HW organization

PO Management

  • Log, monitor and track all import orders; ensure all orders are confirmed and arriving as per confirmation
  • Establish and maintain balanced scorecard – share information with Logistics and Commercial Teams to give necessary visibility to then action with Vendors

Ways of working

  • Develop processes (budget exercise, range reviews, promotions set up etc.), strengthened data visibility (Tableau dashboards availability, SOH, Ecom follow ups, aged inventory, covers, Sales and MAP, promotions, etc.), put reporting and follow up in place to ensure visibility and regular cleaning actions.
  • Business closing complexity (data accuracy, communication and accompanying local Teams, system accuracy, financials, etc.)
  • Relationships with all stakeholders including other countries where applicable as well as top Vendors (ACE, Kingfisher)

 

About You

 

Education:  Bachelors Degree , Preferably Computer Engineer (B.E in Computer Engineering)  

                     MBA (MBA in Business Strategy, Analytics and Supply Chain) is a Plus.

 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  7+ years’ experience in Business Strategy, Analytics, Demand & Supply planning, supply chain and logistics, preferably within retail organizations.

Excel and Office pack mandatory – ERP mandatory (SAP a plus)
