Overview Of The Role:
The Goods Flow Team Leader supports the ISL Manager in overseeing the goods flow processes to ensure maximum product availability and customer order fulfillment at minimal cost. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and contributing to logistics action plans. Additionally, the team leader plays a key role in developing team competencies and maintaining IKEA's cultural values.
What You Will Do:
Operational
- Work closely with the Goods Flow team to optimize logistics operations, balancing inbound and outbound volumes while considering space, equipment, and personnel.
- Ensure adherence to the IKEA code of conduct, and all relevant local legislation pertaining to health, safety, security, and the environment.
- Provide valuable input to the logistics action plan and ensure effective implementation of these actions in goods flow processes.
- Share expert knowledge of goods flow operations to support competence development among colleagues and business partners.
- Guarantee effective daily goods flow operation to ensure a quality customer shopping experience, focusing on product quality, merchandising, and stock accuracy.
- Collaborate towards achieving IKEA Value Chain tasks and goals as stipulated in the Global Service Protocol and related agreements.
- Promote the IKEA Brand's image by implementing environmental sustainability measures that contribute to long-term profitability.
- Embody and promote IKEA values to inspire extraordinary achievements within the goods flow team.
People Management & Development
- Identify, recruit, retain, and nurture diverse talents within the goods flow team to ensure a competent future-ready workforce.
- Build trust and communicate effectively in varied interactions.
- Manage dynamics of a high-volume and vibrant retail environment.
- Encourage the team to act with flexibility, speed, and simplicity, fostering a proactive work culture.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations and supply chain logistics.
- Proficiency in logistics software and technology.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 3 years of experience in goods flow and supply chain management.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Navision.
- Excellent communication skills with a good command of English; Arabic is a plus.
