The primary responsibility of the Landscape Manager is to assure that the property receives quality landscape maintenance throughout Dubai Festival City. The role requires hands - on and contractor supervision as well as job-site performance of all maintenance duties;This is accomplished by coordinating and monitoring the performance of the sub-contractors so that the agreed quality standards are obtained.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct before and after inspections of site conditions of landscaping and irrigation system operations.
  • Identify insect and disease issues and report to appropriate hierarchy.
  • Handle basic Irrigation tasks such as setting and checking clocks, reporting any damage and some repair.
  • Report turf and tree stress to appropriate hierarchy.
  • Assist relevant staff in completion of required tasks.

Employee Supervision:

  • Oversee proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of relevant staff.
  • Conduct "on the job" training as needed.
  • Prioritize the day’s work list and assign duties to crew members.
  • Begin to develop working knowledge of production planning and scheduling.


  • Proactively address questions or issues.
  • Review site with appropriate hierarchy.
  • Update Supervisor on status of site.
  • Suggest improvements.

Administrative & Technical: 

  • Complete assigned Work Orders with due dates.
  • Complete weekly reports.
  • Perform chemical inventory.
  • Perform equipment inventory.
  • Track Scheduled work hours vs. actual hours.
  • Communicate Scheduled vs. actual hours plan with Management.
  • Assist in monthly scheduling.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.


  • Continuous Coordination with admin staff and other entities to ensure good flow of information to achieve business objectives. 

Ad-Hoc Tasks: 

  • Support the facilities management division with any related tasks upon business requirement. 

The Landscape Manager will report to the Senior Operations Manager, however, channels exists for direct communication with the GM and other members from the senior leadership team at weekly meetings or as and when required. 
To be a successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 7+ years relevant experience in turf / landscape maintenance with a very high customer focus and adherence to service standards. Proven experience in construction & maintenance of golf courses. A strong background in landscaping and irrigation operations with strong sub-contractor management track record, and working knowledge of all aspects of turf and landscape maintenance. Professional certification / license as an arborist is a mandate.
Strong knowledge & track record in consultancy & operations, service provider management (SLA / KPI driven contracts), develop and maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders, budgeting and forecasting. 

The ideal candidate must have competencies in proper handling and knowledge of various lawn care machinery. Plant and turf identification and care, including disease and insect knowledge. Standard units of measure. Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, square feet. Knowledge on safety requirements. Must have a UAE driving license
The Landscape Manager will have to demonstrate excellent leadership & entrepreneurial qualities, be customer focused and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. It is essential the incumbent should have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment. Have the ability to look at situations from several points of view. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Excellent problem analytical skills and problem simulation. Should have a high comfort level working in a diverse environment. Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. Manage cross-functional relationships effectively. Strong verbal and writing skills, with regards to contractual communication. Strong people Manager with a collaborative style (inclusive, engaging, energizing). Excellent managerial & administrative skills however at the same time hands on with day to day business operations. Detail oriented and good reporting skills. Establish clear lines of communication both internally & externally. Strong commercial expertise in driving business results.
