Overview Of The Role:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for optimizing stock levels at the lowest possible costs, ensuring adherence to all working methods described in IKEA Logistics manuals. The role focuses on achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction through efficient stock management and operational safety. The Forklift Operator will coordinate closely with warehousing and sales teams to ensure seamless goods flow within the warehouse and sales floor area.
What You Will Do:
- Handle the offloading and loading of containers.
- Ensure safety in all goods movement between the sales floor and buffer areas.
- Maintain personal safety and ensure the safety of others during operations.
- Ensure the highest level of stock integrity in every task.
- Minimize the damage cost while operating heavy equipment.
- Report any equipment issues immediately to Goods Flow Team Leaders.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Valid forklift driving licence is mandatory.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong focus on personal and others' safety during operations.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School Education.
- 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably with goods-flow or supply chain knowledge.
- A valid forklift driving licence.
- Ability to lift heavy weights.
