Overview of the role:

We are looking for an experienced Foreman to join the Bus Division – FAMCO in the UAE. This role is responsible for leading workshop technicians, optimizing labor and resources per shift, and ensuring all bus repair and service activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Foreman plays a critical role in maintaining vehicle uptime, meeting contractual service levels, and supporting customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Plan and allocate job cards to technicians based on skill set, efficiency, and workload to maximize workshop throughput
• Ensure effective utilization of workshop manpower and resources to meet operational efficiency targets
• Review parts pre-order forms (proforma) to confirm correct parts are requested and aligned with the repair requirement
• Conduct and enforce quality checks on completed jobs to minimize repeat repairs and customer complaints
• Monitor and control warranty jobs, ensuring compliance with warranty guidelines and accurate documentation
• Track technician productivity and efficiency, addressing performance gaps where required
• Coordinate with Service Advisors to ensure clear communication with customers and high satisfaction levels
• Support 24x7 operations and provide emergency breakdown support when required

Required skills to be successful:

• Strong technical knowledge in bus diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team of technicians
• Strong planning, organizing, and workload management skills
• Analytical problem-solving ability for complex technical issues
• Effective communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-uptime, customer-critical environment
• Familiarity with technical systems and workshop software

About the team:

You will be part of the Bus Division workshop team at FAMCO, working closely with Workshop Supervisors, Service Advisors, and Parts teams. The team operates in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment, delivering critical repair and maintenance services to contracted customers with strict uptime requirements and operational support.

What equips you for the role:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related field
• Certified Automotive Technician qualification
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on workshop repair and operations experience within an automotive dealership
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman-level role
• Volvo Bus Corporation BKT (Bus Key Technician) certification is a strong advantage
• Valid UAE Passenger Bus driving license is an advantage
• Strong customer focus, teamwork, and result-oriented mindset
• High adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement
