Overview Of The Role:
- The Finance Transformation Manager acts as the critical liaison between operational excellence and digital advancement within the Group Finance Shared Services Center. The role's main purpose is to streamline high-frequency reporting cycles and IT initiatives across key finance workstreams such as R2R, Tax, GTO, O2C, and I2P. A strategic element of this role includes leading budgetary support projects in vital regional markets, focusing on the UAE and Egypt. The position demands proactive management of financial cycles and the fostering of transformative technology to enhance organizational performance.
- The manager must effectively manage a multifaceted scope of responsibilities, ranging from performance oversight during month-end closures to strategic financial forecasting and cost architecture alignment. Additional duties include championing agile project management methodologies within IT transformations and providing executive-level stakeholder support for swift decision-making.
- Ultimately, success in this role is marked by the ability to translate complex data insights into strategic action plans, balancing immediate operational demands with long-term transformational goals.
What You Will Do:
Month-End Closure & Reporting Rigor
- Conduct pre-closure P&L performance reviews and post-period closure analysis, including P&L reports, AoC, and Board slides.
- Collaborate with the Controlling team and R2R accountants to review monthly provisions.
- Perform monthly headcount reconciliations against budget/census and align with individual Tower Heads to validate positions through dedicated catch-ups.
Strategic Budgeting & Cost Allocation
- Drive the finalization of Latest Estimates (LE) and Budget P&L for UAE & Egypt, synthesizing inputs from multiple stakeholders and the controlling team.
- Finalize cost allocation for each division, drafting detailed explanations and managing escalation communications using data-driven cost drivers.
- Collaborate with the controlling team to finalize billing and 'true up/down' templates.
Driving IT Initiatives & Transformation
- Lead and attend FSSC Agile POD weekly sessions with GTDP.
- Review Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA) to drive transformation across all towers workstreams.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with FSSC towers and GTDP to finalize BRDs, escalate blockers to management, and distribute meeting minutes and action trackers.
Cost Validation & Ad-Hoc Support
- Validate monthly POD cost data shared by GTDP and prepare data templates to update the POD cost dashboard.
- Manage daily ad-hoc requests from Group leadership to support rapid decision-making.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Expertise in data visualization platforms like Power BI/Tableau.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead agile project teams and drive IT transformation initiatives.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
- CPA/ACCA or MBA preferred.
- 4+ years experience in Finance Shared Services, Management Consulting, or Audit.
- Advanced Excel modeling, and proficiency with Power BI/Tableau and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
