Finance Manager - Automotive Finance Shared Services - UAE


Job Purpose:

As a member of AFSS Treasury team – to support the Automotive Business Units – on

  1. Cash flow forecast and liquidity management
  2. Forex exposure and managing the hedge process
  3. Capital / Debt Financing structures & Support
  4. Managing funded & unfunded limits requirements and optimal utilisation
  5. Treasury related Project Management
  6. Ensuring day to day operating and accounting controls



The position provides Banking / hedging and supply chain support to Automotive business entities. The jobholder constantly co-ordinaties with Group Treasury, Group Finance, business finance and Marketing teams carrying out reviews, analysis and validation.


Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Professional accounting qualification.


Minimum Experience: At least 5 years relevant experience within a large organization in a supervisory level


Job-Specific Skills: Analytical, process oriented, good communication skills, exposure to ERP


Behavioural Competencies: Should be able to plan and prioritize tasks, persuasive skills, Kaizen attitude, Self-motivated; and a strong team player.



Foreign Currency exposure

To support AGM Treasury in assessing foreign currency exposure of business units on a continuous basis and ensuring adequate hedge process in place in consultation with management and Group treasury.


Banking facilities


  • To support AGM treasury in Identifying and initiating fund based  and non-fund based banking facility requirements for the business units  with group treasury as per business plan and reviews.


  • To ensure banking faculties of the Automotive Division are optimally utilized, by minimizing cost of funding.


  • Support Treasury team in maintaining banking relations in collaboration with Group Treasury and exploring new avenues for process efficiency, cost reduction and alternatives for Customer / Supplier / Principal financing solutions.

Cash flow and Liquidity Management

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and build early warning signals to ensure cash equilibrium is maintained at all times.
  • Continuously monitor bank balances and optimise effective utilisation of funds and at optimal costs.


Business support

  • To ensure timely opening of import letters of credit as per automotive principal requirements and based on purchase plans of the business.
  • Advise business units on bank guarantee & other trade instruments and ensure timely action.


Reporting & Project Management:


  • Preparation of various Automotive Reports such as Treasury reports, Contingent liabilities, Borrowing & Liquidity reports, Forex position reports and analysis of the same.


  • Support FM in adherence to Intercompany Exposure management policy and capital structure discussions.


  • Key support to all treasury related projects (Treasury Management system, Card platform, Bank account management, payments & collection management solutions etc.)


External Audit

  • To coordinate external Audit of the automotive entity by providing relevant explanations and schedules to Auditors and ensure smooth completion.
