Overview Of The Role:

  • The Finance Executive is responsible for managing the organization's petty cash transactions to ensure effective cash flow control and accurate financial reporting. This includes processing cash payments, conducting financial analyses, reviewing expenditures, and collaborating with teams to support overall business objectives. The position requires adherence to company policies and proactive identification of opportunities to optimize cash management processes.


What You Will Do:

Cash Management

 

  • Ensure effective cash management by processing cash payments in line with business requirements.
  • Record transactions accurately in the system, ensuring correct GL and VAT application.
  • Adhere strictly to all company guidelines and DOA procedures, reviewing all supporting documentation prior to cash payments.
  • Handle bank cash withdrawals and ensure availability of appropriate cash denominations.

 

Financial Analysis and Reporting

 

  • Conduct quarterly analysis and trend review of petty cash utilization.
  • Ensure daily cash movement reports are prepared and shared on time.
  • Review past records of sub-allocations and analyze average monthly expenditure to rationalize, reduce, or cancel unutilized or unnecessary sub-allocations.
  • Identify and report unnecessary cash purchases made with vendors offering credit terms to management, supporting improved cash flow control.

 

Monitoring and Coordination

 

  • Monitor and review outstanding IOUs to ensure timely settlement as per established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and review employee advances to ensure timely settlement as per established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with business teams to ensure credit card transactions are settled on time and in line with policy.
  • Conduct daily cash counts during counter opening and closing and ensure verification and approval by the Cost Controller.

 

Support Functions

 

  • Provide support to the cost team for cost booking activities.



Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Proficient in cash management processes and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed financial reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with business teams.
  • Attention to detail for accurate transaction recording and documentation review.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in cash management or financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
