Overview Of The Role:

The Facilities Engineer is integral to managing integrated facilities management contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. The role involves overseeing both preventive and corrective maintenance, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards. The Facilities Engineer works closely with clients to maintain satisfaction and meets financial goals by efficiently executing services within budget constraints.


What You Will Do:

AMC Management & Variable works

 

  • Execute Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) efficiently within budget and ensure profitability.
  • Analyze and evaluate AMC requirements, including HSE and operational risk assessments, contract execution plans, and requirements for mobilization, transition, and performance management phases.
  • Regularly meet and report to clients to maintain communication and rapport.
  • Track contract progress ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Plan resources such as manpower, materials, and subcontracted services for assigned contracts.
  • Manage takeover and handover processes for AMCs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports for contracts.
  • Submit AMC invoices on time and obtain client acknowledgement.

 

Corrective/Reactive and Planned Preventive Maintenance

 

  • Conduct site inspections and conditional assessment of assets, addressing HSE and operational risks.
  • Identify critical systems and assets, ensuring contingency plans to prevent downtime.
  • Prepare PPM procedures, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Generate method statements, risk assessments, and PPM task sheets.
  • Close PPM work orders on a monthly basis.
  • Efficiently execute corrective and reactive maintenance, achieving agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Handle escalations and emergencies, resolve customer complaints, and prepare technical reports.
  • Track, update, and close CRM work orders daily.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and provide expert advice to teams.
  • Coordinate maintenance contracts with Sub Contractors.

 

Repair and Refurbishment Works

 

  • Generate revenue from repair, replacement, refurbishment, and retrofit works to meet targets.
  • Conduct conditional assessments and identify assets for replacement due to aging or performance issues.
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals for repairs or replacements, and follow up with clients for approval.
  • Efficiently execute casual jobs within budget ensuring profitability.
  • Submit customer invoices on time and manage payment follow-ups.
  • Resolve any client payment issues.

 

Customer Service

 

  • Develop a customer-focused service enhancing corporate image and relationships with clients.
  • Exceed customer satisfaction by meeting SLAs and KPIs.
  • Maintain regular client communication and rapport.

 

QHSE

 

  • Develop safe systems of work and quality management, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Implement HSE policies and procedures, preventing incidents.
  • Ensure possession and calibration of appropriate tools and safety devices for the team.
  • Close out HSE Action Taken Reports, NCRs, and document incidents or accidents.
  • Maintain HSE training records and conduct toolbox talks.

 

Employee Engagement

 

  • Provide job descriptions, induction training, and tools for reporting employees.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify employee training needs.
  • Improve employee engagement through needs assessment and action planning.
  • Liaise with internal departments to foster good relations and teamwork.



Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong team leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to prepare method statements, risk assessments, and handle emergency shutdowns.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, teams, and stakeholders.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Facilities Management industry in GCC.
  • UAE Driving License.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Familiarity with national and international industry standards (e.g., ANSI/ASHRAE, IEEE, IFM, CIBSE).
