Overview of the role

Manage AF IKEA’s business intelligence department to deliver enhanced BI reports to help business growth.The person will be responsible to help analyse business needs and manage the BI team to deliver analysis , reports. Provide day-to-day meaningful and actionable strategic and operational insights by leveraging data assets. Secure the multi-dimensional view of the business, when conducting the necessary analysis, to evaluate retail performance. The role will help in providing data analysis and insights for MPD studies.

 

What you will do

Business Analysis & Analytics

  • Manage the business analysis team
  • Plan and design the automated dashboards based on business needs
  • Develop automated dash boards for most frequently used reports based on understanding of Regional Management team and Store needs.
  • Maintain business analysis BI reports database for use of central commercial decision team decision making
  • Create data access policy and manage user access to business report in the company

 

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Supervise automation of  Preparation , analyzing , and circulation of  daily, weekly, and monthly management information reports
  • Develop new reports and focus on continuous improvement of existing reports
  • Support in testing and automation of management information / business intelligence reports
  • Support with adhoc information, analysis, and support for business functions and stores
  • Create Business excellence portal Matrix for all reports.
  • Prioritize readymade reports and put together a training plan for end users.

 

Data Source Structure and Analysis

  • Define methods to source, collect, sort, analyze and share, both internal, external and from digital sources, customer data to provide insights for business purposes
  • Analyse data from digital sources to gain insights of IKEA consumers and visitors for business purposes and decision making.
  • Cross-channel data and analytics - how to profile, model, analyse and report on all data, cross-channel, to gain insights for business purposes and decision making

 

People Development

  • Manage, direct, evaluate and develop the Business Analyst team members to ensure they are adequately motivated and professionally trained to deliver high quality output to all areas of the business.
  • Onboard, coach business analysts to secure transfer of competence and a high performing team

 

Required skills to be successful

  • Strong Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in stakeholder and change management
  • Strong Analytical skills and knowledge of Power BI

 

What equips you for the role

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision table structures and solid retail business acumen to bridge data with business insights.
  • Advanced analytical skills with deep expertise in Power BI (Desktop & Service) for developing interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Skilled in DAX, data modeling (star schemas, performance optimization), and data transformation using Power Query (M language).
  • Proficient in SQL with working knowledge of the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS) and/or Azure BI tools.
  • Experience with report security (row-level security, governance, dataset management, refresh strategies).
  • Strong sense of visual design, data storytelling, and user-centric dashboard design to enhance decision-making
  • Added Value competencies include,
    • Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Analysis Services (including tabular models, role-based security, and performance tuning).
    • Experience with MSBI Suite (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) for hybrid BI environments.
    • Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analytics, automation, or custom visuals.
