Overview Of The Role:
- The Asst. Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and developing visual merchandising trends in stores to generate customer attention and increase sales. This role requires a creative approach to merchandise presentation, aligning with corporate guidelines and making optimal use of resources. The manager ensures uniformity in the presentation across multiple locations, consistently working within budget constraints while researching lifestyle, demographic, and design trends to inform strategies.
What You Will Do:
General
- Define, design, and implement creative visual merchandising plans as per brand guidelines.
- Maintain store display standards and ensure adherence to company and brand display standards.
- Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, brand display plans, and special promotions displays.
- Monitor visual merchandising costs and work within budgetary constraints.
- Provide ongoing visual training to stores team to ensure consistency in brand standards and execution across all stores.
- Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends to inform merchandising strategies.
- Ensure uniformity of displays across multiple store locations in alignment with AFWJ standards.
- Liaise frequently with Retail Executive, Showroom Managers, Brand Managers, Marketing Executives, and Retail Merchandisers to achieve optimal visual impact at each store.
- Oversee production and brief staff on arranging displays.
- Change displays seasonally, promoting new product launches and festive or thematic updates.
- Create sketches and floor plans for visual displays, liaise with suppliers to source props and materials as needed.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Proven visual merchandising experience in fashion, watches, and jewelry.
- Creative and innovative thinking with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design skills.
- Proficiency in visual design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to analyze sales reports and survey results to inform merchandising strategies.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- University degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Merchandising, Fashion, or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in visual merchandising within the retail fashion industry.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Experience in creating compelling seasonal product presentations that align with brand strategies and visual design skills.
