Overview Of The Role:
The Assistant Finance Manager, as part of the Regional FP&A team, plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic direction of Al Futtaim Real Estate. This position requires the reliable provision of accurate and insightful financial data to senior management and stakeholders. You are expected to produce and review budgets and forecasts, conduct thorough performance analysis, and contribute to initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Working closely with regional teams, the role demands a proactive approach in identifying risks and opportunities and aiding decision-making processes.
What You Will Do:
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Preparation & Review of Budgets and Forecasts for individual assets and on a combined real estate level.
- Prepare and review monthly financial performance reports (Flash reports) within strict timelines for senior leadership.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Develop and analyze detailed financial and operational performance reports for different asset classes and geographies, including business dashboards.
- Report on KPIs versus benchmarks, provide commentary on financial performance to management, and identify areas of risk and improvement.
- Cater to various recurring reporting requirements of the Al Futtaim Group, including reporting of consolidated financial statements.
- Assist in automation initiatives, including the automation of monthly reports using data handling tools like Power BI.
Adhoc Analysis and Stakeholder Support
- Cater to adhoc analysis and reporting requests from AFRE leadership and Al Futtaim Group Finance.
- Ability to analyze data to enable data-driven decision making.
- Well versed in IFRS and updated with latest changes.
- Coordinate with various finance and business teams across AFRE's portfolio, including UAE, Egypt, Qatar, and Morocco.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and management reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present findings to senior management.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Accounting or Finance qualification such as a Qualified Accounting Professional; University degree with a focus in Accounting and Finance.
- Expertise in ERP Financial Software, with preference given to SAP, Yardi, and BPC.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis and accounting tools.
- 5 years of experience, with at least 2 in FP&A experience in real estate, construction, or project management industries preferred.
