Job Title:        R2R Senior Associate - Retail Shared Services Finance MENA

Reports to:     R2R Supervisor of RSSF MENA

 

Job Purpose

Responsible for all transactional activities including but not limited to; Month end, Audit, Intercompany and management reporting. The R2R Sr associate is responsible for ensuring an accurate, timely and efficient month end process for the RSSF function supporting the R2R team lead.

 

 

Key activities - Record to Report (R2R)

 

1. General ledger closing

  • Process journal entries & check supporting documents
  • Process allocations
  • Perform reconciliations (including intercompany)
  • Close general ledger

 

2. Intercompany management (ICM)

  • Create/Accept Intercompany 
  • Process journal entries as required
  • Perform weekly review of ICM GL accounts and liaise with relevant stakeholders to clear
  • Create a weekly report of open ICM and share with relevant stakeholders 

 

3. Fixed Assets Accounting (if applicable)

  • Quarterly review of FA register
  • Review and confirm Useful lives are as per group accounting policy and request approval to make changes as required
  • Upon approval make the necessary changes in SAP

 

4. Month end reporting

  • Prepare & distribute balance sheet reconciliations
  • Generate monthly reporting schedule and support audit activities

 

5. BPC

  • Post/Create BPC entries
  • Respond to BPC queries and assist with resolution

 

 

Qualifications, experience, & skills:

  • Professional Degree in Finance and Accounting is required
  • Experience of managing a team in a demanding environment
  • Preferably worked in Retail business
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance related functions, preferably in a shared services environment
  • Experience working across multiple levels and across function
  • Knowledge of SAP plus Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
