Overview Of The Role:

  • The Sales Assistant plays a pivotal role in driving sales and ensuring a positive customer experience. They are responsible for both generating sales and supporting various operational tasks. Key success factors include maintaining a clean and organized store environment, meeting customer service standards, and contributing to a welcoming shopping atmosphere.

What You Will Do:

Sales and Customer Engagement


  • Generate sales by engaging customers and offering insights into product range.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and friendly demeanor.
  • Provide current, relevant information about products to customers to aid their purchasing decision.
  • Sincerely thank all customers as they exit and invite them to return.

Operational Duties


  • Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment, adhering to store standards.
  • Provide quality service in fitting rooms and ensure clean and neat cash wrap areas.
  • Follow up with customers timely to ensure satisfaction and attempt to upsell or add on to the sale.
  • Capture customer information accurately in the database for marketing and sales tracking.
  • Offer gift cards during checkout and manage cash wrap efficiently.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage customers positively.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain store cleanliness standards.
  • Competence in using computer-aided design packages for visual merchandising.
  • Capability to manage cash register processes accurately and efficiently.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School Degree is required.
  • 1-2 years of retail sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
  • Good verbal communication skills and capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for prolonged periods.
