Overview of the Role
We are looking for a skilled Technician, Trucks and Buses to carry out inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair activities on commercial vehicles. The role is responsible for ensuring that trucks and buses are maintained to high standards of safety, quality, and reliability while supporting efficient workshop operations and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to completing repairs correctly and within the required timelines.

What You Will Do
•    Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and general repairs on trucks and buses.
•    Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
•    Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify technical issues accurately.
•    Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
•    Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to confirm the quality of completed repairs.
•    Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical manuals, and workshop standards.
•    Complete job cards and accurately record the work performed, parts used, and additional repairs required.
•    Inform the workshop supervisor of any additional faults or safety concerns identified during inspection.
•    Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and the assigned work area in a safe and organized condition.
•    Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
•    Support other workshop team members when required to ensure timely completion of work.
•    Participate in technical training and continuously develop product and diagnostic knowledge.

Required Skills to Be Successful
•    Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related discipline.
•    Relevant hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks, buses, or other heavy commercial vehicles.
•    Experience working with diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
•    Strong knowledge of truck and bus mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

About the Team
You will be part of a professional aftersales and workshop team focused on delivering reliable maintenance and repair services for trucks and buses. The role works closely with workshop supervisors, service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure that vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and in line with required technical standards.
The team promotes collaboration, technical learning, quality workmanship, and a strong customer-service mindset.

What Equips You for the Role
•    Previous experience with an authorized dealer or established commercial vehicle workshop is preferred.
•    Manufacturer or product-specific technical training would be an advantage.
•    A valid driving license, where required for the position.
•    Ability to communicate effectively in English.
•    Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts based on workshop operational requirements.
•    Ability to diagnose and repair faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
•    Good understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and pneumatic systems.
•    Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and repair instructions.
•    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•    Good attention to detail with a focus on repair quality and vehicle safety.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a workshop team.
•    Good time-management skills and the ability to complete assigned work efficiently.
•    Basic communication and job-documentation skills.
•    Commitment to safe working practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
