As a Learning and Development Specialist , you will lead and support learning programmes and development strategies for the business through effective coordination with the Country Training Manager and HR Business Partners. Your main focus will be on the development and maintenance of the IKEA training plan and individual development plans to secure business competency.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating all orientation programmes for new co-workers and HR specific updates.
  • Lead the learning and development process in the store by working in a proactive way.
  • Responsible for maintaining their knowledge on current training initiatives and trends via external networking (Inter-IKEA Systems B.V) and the Al-Futtaim Training Centre.
  • Train, develop, coach and mentor all co-workers in accordance with the IKEA culture.
  • Support Line Managers in executing development training for identified succession candidates.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as maintaining all administrative records related to employee trainings (Training Matrix) and support the enrolment process for all IKEA Business College training.
  • Support and update the IKEA Basic Job Knowledge booklets and other development programmes.


To be considered for this role you will need to possess:


Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Degree or a Higher National Diploma 


Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role.                                           


Job-Specific Skills: Strategic Planning, Analytical Skills, Effective Communication, Organisational Skills, Time Management, MS Office.
