Overview of the role:

The individual would be responsible to take complete ownership of end-to-end implementation of ETL and Power BI solutions, from data acquisition and transformation to the creation of dynamic and impactful dashboards.

What you will do:

1. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data (utilizing Databricks) from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
2. Design and optimize data models to enable efficient data analysis and visualization.
3. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power-BI to visualize key performance indicators and business metrics.
4. Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
5. Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across different data sources.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights.
7. Continuously monitor and evaluate BI solutions to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
8. Conduct ad-hoc analysis in case of significant deviations between measurement results and performance targets and suggest process improvements to operational areas and process owners.

Required skills to be successful: 

Job-Specific Skills:

• Proven experience working with Databricks or other ETL tools
• Proven experience working with Power-BI with expertise in building semantic models for data visualization.
• Advanced SQL skills, including expertise in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modelling and ETL processes.
• Must have experience working directly with end-users and analysts in a business intelligence environment.

Minimum Qualifications, Certification and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with at least 4 years’ experience working within the Business Intelligence domain.
