Overview of the Role
The Credit Manager is responsible for managing the company’s credit risk by evaluating customer creditworthiness, setting appropriate credit limits, and ensuring effective collection processes. The role plays a key part in balancing business growth with risk control, improving cash flow, and minimizing bad debts through strong credit governance and stakeholder collaboration.
What You Will Do
Credit Risk Management
- Review and approve customer credit applications.
- Assess creditworthiness using financial statements and credit reports.
- Set and manage credit limits aligned with risk appetite.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
Accounts Receivable & Collections Oversight
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and overdue balances.
- Oversee collection processes and escalation strategies.
- Support resolution of high-risk or complex cases.
- Drive improvements in collection efficiency.
Policy & Governance
- Establish and enforce credit policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and risk frameworks.
- Continuously review and enhance credit processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Sales to balance revenue growth and risk exposure.
- Partner with Finance and Operations on credit-related matters.
- Provide guidance on credit decisions and risk mitigation.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare credit risk reports and dashboards for senior management.
- Track KPIs such as DSO, overdue balances, and bad debts.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve cash flow.
Team Leadership
- Lead and support collections and credit teams.
- Set targets and monitor team performance.
- Coach and develop team members.

What Qualifies You for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in credit management or AR
- Strong experience in collections and receivables
- Experience leading teams
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and credit tools
- Strong understanding of financial statements
