Overview Of The Role:

  • The Sales Associate Cum Cashier is responsible for supporting store objectives by delivering excellent customer service and maintaining designated sections or zones within the store. This role requires effective stock management, cashier duties, and maintaining store standards. Key success factors include strong customer interactions, efficient transactions, and supporting store compliance initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Store Management


  • Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your manager, ensuring a basic image of the area with proper folding and displaying.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor, and that Cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
  • Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging efficiently.
  • Ensure the store is adequately resourced across legal compliance areas, with knowledgeable and trained staff.
  • Implement store self-assessment audits and devise action plans with the management team, ensuring actions are delivered.

Customer Service


  • Deliver excellent customer service to achieve store sales targets and provide great customer experience.
  • Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive quality service either face-to-face or over the telephone.
  • Attend all relevant trainings related to customer services and product knowledge.
  • Be aware of employee and customer risks and safe work practices to overcome them.

Cashiering


  • Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately in all payment methods.
  • Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier during their absence.
  • Follow and engage in relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
  • Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Degree holder
  • Previous fashion retail and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
