Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Associate Cum Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to support store objectives and maintaining designated areas. This role involves processing sales, managing stockrooms, and providing customers with quality service. They also play a crucial role in maintaining compliance and safety standards within the store.
What You Will Do:
General
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store to ensure a clean and organized area, including folding and displaying merchandise.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately across all payment methods.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards on the shop floor and maintain orderly cash desk areas by replenishing and tidying throughout the day.
- Acknowledge customers and provide quality service both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Organize and manage the stockroom to maintain excellent standards.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of stock and promotions throughout the store.
- Cover responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier during their absence.
- Engage in training and development as directed by your line manager.
- Execute efficient opening and closing cash desk procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to achieve store sales targets and enhance customer experiences.
Training & Development
- Attend all relevant trainings related to customer service and product knowledge.
Standards
- Ensure the store is adequately resourced and compliant with all legal requirements, maintaining thorough knowledge of compliance issues and SOPs.
- Ensure employees are trained and knowledgeable about SOPs.
- Implement self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and devise an action plan with the management team to address issues.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping across the store, reporting to senior management in case of accidents.
- Recognize risks posed to employees and customers and follow safety procedures to mitigate them.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Degree holder.
- Previous fashion retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience is desirable.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
