Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Associate Cum Cashier is primarily responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting store objectives. You will manage designated sections of the store, ensuring effective maintenance of these areas. Your role includes processing sales transactions, maintaining a tidy store environment, supporting the stockroom organization, and enhancing customer experiences through attentive service. Success in this role involves meeting store sales targets and continuing development through trainings, contributing to an efficient and compliant store operation.
What You Will Do:
General
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store, keeping a basic image of the area through folding and displaying merchandise.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately across all payment methods.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and that the cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
- Acknowledge customers and provide high-quality service either face-to-face or over the telephone.
- Maintain excellent stockroom standards by organizing and arranging stock efficiently.
- Continually develop knowledge of stock and promotions throughout the store.
- Cover the key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
- Engage in relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
- Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to achieve store sales targets and provide great customer experiences.
Standards Compliance
- Ensure the store is adequately resourced across compliance areas and that staff have thorough knowledge of compliance issues.
- Implement store self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and devise action plans with the wider management team.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout all store areas and communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
- Be aware of risks employees and customers are exposed to, and follow safe work practices and company procedures to mitigate them.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Degree holder.
- Previous fashion retail experience or excellent customer service experience preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience desirable.
- Strong numerate and literacy skills.
