Overview Of The Role:
- The role of the Sales Associate Cum Cashier is to support store objectives by delivering excellent customer service that meets the store’s needs and ensures the effective maintenance of designated sections or zones. This position requires handling multiple tasks, including cash handling, maintaining display standards, stockroom management, and engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, sales targets, and maintaining high standards of compliance and safety within the store environment.
What You Will Do:
General
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager, ensuring the area is organized with items properly folded and displayed.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately, across all payment methods.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and that the Cash desk areas are tidy and replenished throughout the day.
- Acknowledge and provide quality service to customers, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Organize and efficiently maintain the stockroom to excellent standards.
- Continually develop knowledge of stock and promotions throughout the store.
- Cover responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
- Engage in training and development as directed by your line manager.
- Ensure efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to achieve store sales targets and enhance customer experiences.
Training & Development
- Attend all relevant trainings related to customer service and product knowledge development.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure the store is adequately resourced to meet legal compliance requirements.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of compliance issues across the store.
- Implement self-assessment audits and internal audit reviews, devising action plans with management to ensure delivery.
Health and Safety
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the store areas.
- Communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
- Be aware of risks to employees and customers and adhere to safe work practices and company procedures.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Degree holder in any field.
- Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience desirable.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
