Overview Of The Role:

  • The Sales Associate Cum Cashier supports the store's objective by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the effective maintenance of designated sections within the store. The role involves managing several sections of the store, processing sales and exchanges, maintaining housekeeping standards, and developing comprehensive knowledge of stocks and promotions. Additionally, this position requires compliance with SOPs, ensuring health and safety standards, and adapting to varied working hours to meet the store's needs.

What You Will Do:

Store Maintenance and Operation


  • Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager keeping a basic image of the area (folding and displaying).
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and the Cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
  • Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stockroom efficiently.
  • Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.

Customer Service


  • Deliver excellent customer services in order to achieve store sales targets and provide a great customer experience.
  • Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive quality services either face-to-face or over the telephone.

Sales Processing and Financial Duties


  • Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly in all payment methods.
  • Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.

Training and Development


  • Follow and engage in the relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
  • Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer services and product knowledge.

Standards and Compliance


  • Ensure that the store is adequately resourced across all areas touched by legal compliance and have a thorough knowledge of compliance issues.
  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable and updated on SOPs.
  • Implement store self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and devise action plans with the wider management team.

Health and Safety


  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout all areas in the store and communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
  • Be aware of risks exposed to employees and customers and follow safe work practices and company procedures to overcome them.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Degree holder.
  • Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience is desirable.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
