Overview Of The Role:

  • The role of the Customer Services Assistant in Smaland involves providing excellent customer service by managing the play facility adhering to entry policies and child care SOPs. This position requires a professional and friendly approach to ensure a positive experience for both children and their guardians. Successful performance involves guaranteeing child safety, addressing customer inquiries, and representing the IKEA brand at a high level, maintaining standards within the store.

What You Will Do:

Customers


  • Greet and welcome mothers/guardians with their children on arrival at Smaland.
  • Explain the Smaland admission policy in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Entertain children with agreed activities based on the Commercial Calendar.
  • Ensure the child's safety is the main priority while they are in Smaland.
  • Make announcements and page the customers (parents) if there is an issue with the children in the playroom area.
  • Handle routine customer complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Provide a safe environment for children within the area.
  • Be ready to rotate and work at the Information desk to greet customers and address all incoming inquiries.

Operational


  • Ensure all system and emergency procedures are adhered to as per policy/procedure.
  • Brief the Duty Manager on complaints that require management assistance.
  • Ensure all emergency procedures are adhered to.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School diploma.
  • Local qualification in Child Care as per relevant country standards.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
