Overview of the role:
Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function by driving budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis across the ResiComm business. The role is responsible for delivering accurate financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial planning processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams and Regional Finance. The position plays a key role in monitoring business performance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, enhancing financial reporting, and providing analytical support to optimize commercial and operational performance.
What you will do:
- Support the monthly financial close process by coordinating with Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and timely account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management reports, business review packs, and financial analysis to support decision-making and monitor business performance.
- Analyze financial performance across key business areas, including sales, leasing, working capital, cash flow, and funding, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-term business plans, and financial models in line with business objectives and timelines.
- Develop and monitor project cash flow forecasts, funding requirements, and financial performance to support effective cash management and strategic planning.
- Partner with business stakeholders, Local Finance, Shared Services, Regional Finance, and Group Finance to deliver accurate financial reporting and provide commercial insights.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and business cases to support internal and external reporting requirements and strategic business decisions.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including reporting automation, process improvements, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Required Skills to be successful:
- 3+ years of experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, or Commercial Finance, with at least 1 year of experience within the real estate industry.
- Experience in real estate, construction, project management, or mixed-use developments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis, and business performance management.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (EAS, IAS, IFRS) and financial statement preparation.
- Experience preparing financial models, cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP financial systems. Knowledge of SAP and Yardi is highly preferred.
What equips you for the role:
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or MBA are considered an advantage.
- Good understanding of financial planning, accounting systems, reporting automation, and finance process improvement.
- Knowledge of Egyptian real estate regulations, accounting practices, and industry guidelines is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, communication skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
