Overview of the role:

Support the Controlling function by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting through robust month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. The role is responsible for maintaining the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts, preparing management and financial reports, completing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards, IFRS, Group Finance policies, and internal controls. The position also supports ERP enhancements, financial analysis, and accurate revenue, cost, tax, accrual, and prepayment accounting.

What you will do:

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including all required regular and ad hoc analysis.

• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and ensure appropriate classification across account groups.

• Prepare monthly management reports and timely, accurate financial statements and analytical reports.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled, with reconciling items resolved.

• Support year-end and financial audits by preparing audit schedules, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring compliance with Group Finance policies and accounting standards.

• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the General Ledger and allocated to the correct cost and profit centres.

• Handle intercompany cost allocations and maintain accurate revenue and cost recognition records.

• Ensure month-end entries, including prepayments and accruals, are accurately recorded in the system.

• Monitor tax-related accounting entries, particularly VAT accounting.

• Participate in special projects, ERP implementations, system enhancements, and ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Required Skills to be successful:

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on Accounts Payable experience, preferably within the Real Estate sector.

• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.

• Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting in-depth financial analysis to support informed decision-making.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• Strong understanding of setting up and organizing databases and spreadsheets.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective teamwork and stakeholder collaboration.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to business requirements.

What equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

• Solid background in Real Estate sector accounting is preferred.

• SAP financial application experience is preferred.
