Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Representative is responsible for building rapport and credibility with customers to assist them in purchasing IKEA's product range while maintaining high merchandising standards and ensuring stock availability. The role aims to exceed sales targets by exceeding customer expectations and providing exceptional service. Success in this role requires understanding customer needs, promoting effective product solutions, and maintaining product knowledge to provide informed advice to customers.
What You Will Do:
Operational & Commercial
- Conduct daily detailed inspection of assigned area to review price labels, product information tags, and communication media.
- Review daily stock levels and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper.
- Coordinate with Procurement Executive for stock information.
- Focus on customer service, showing empathy and care, and strive to exceed customer expectations based on IKEA values.
- Engage in daily dialogues with guests to gather feedback and understand customer needs and wants.
- Initiate and develop relationships with customers to establish trust and confidence.
- Prepare pro forma invoices based on customer requirements and follow up on quotations to convert to sales.
- Promote sales by identifying opportunities, offering solutions, and suggesting add-ons to achieve sales targets.
- Suggest improvements and actions for slow-moving items to supervisors.
- Maintain product displays according to company merchandising methods.
- Stay informed about local market developments and competitor promotions to maintain competitive advantage.
- Keep up to date with changes in product range and inform Sales Manager of customer feedback or product range gaps.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
