Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in establishing rapport and credibility with customers to facilitate the purchase of IKEA products. The role involves maintaining merchandising standards, ensuring the availability of stock, and achieving sales targets by exceeding customer expectations. By fostering relationships with customers and understanding their needs, the Sales Representative contributes to the sales team's success and supports the overall objectives of the retail division.
What You Will Do:
General
- Conduct a daily detailed inspection of the assigned area to ensure the availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags, and other communication media.
- Review daily stock levels on all products in the assigned area and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper.
- Coordinate with Procurement Executive regarding stock information in the assigned area.
- Ensure customers are in focus, strive to make them smile, and meet and serve customers showing empathy and care while adhering to IKEA values.
- Engage in daily dialogues with guests to gather feedback on their experiences, understand their needs and wants, and take action based on this input.
- Prepare pro forma invoices by understanding and determining customer requirements.
- Maintain contact with customers to advise on new or interesting items and follow up on quotations to convert them into actual sales.
- Promote the sales of products by identifying and seizing sales opportunities, offering alternative solutions, and suggesting add-on sales to meet sales targets.
- Suggest improvements in sales strategies to supervisors and identify slow moving or non-selling items with suggestions for sales actions.
- Maintain a full display of products following company merchandising methods.
- Be knowledgeable about the product range and aware of developments in the local market to maintain competitive advantage and provide accurate customer advice.
- Stay informed about changes in the product range and communicate any customer issues or gaps to the Sales Manager.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Secondary education is required.
- Experience in a similar role or as a fresh graduate is acceptable.
- Proactivity and being sales-driven are essential job-specific skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving capabilities are crucial for this role.
- A good command of the English language is necessary, with Arabic being preferred.
