Overview Of The Role:
- The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for establishing rapport and credibility with customers to assist them in purchasing IKEA's product range. The role aims to maintain high standards of merchandising and ensure stock availability to meet and exceed sales targets. A Retail Sales Representative must display exceptional customer focus by engaging directly with customers, gathering feedback, and building trust to drive sales and improve customer experience. This role operates across stores in the U.A.E., Oman, Qatar, and Egypt, playing a crucial part in developing customer relationships and enhancing the IKEA brand's market presence.
What You Will Do:
Operational & Commercial
- Conduct daily detailed inspections of assigned areas to review the availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags, and other communication media.
- Review daily stock levels on all products in the assigned area and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Executive for information pertaining to stocks in the assigned area.
- Ensure a customer-focused approach by serving, listening, and supporting customers with empathy and care in line with IKEA values.
- Engage in daily dialogue with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs to enhance their shopping experience.
- Prepare pro forma invoices by understanding and determining customers' requirements and follow up on quotations to convert them into actual sales.
- Promote product sales by spotting and seizing opportunities, offering alternative solutions, and suggesting add-on sales to achieve sales targets.
- Suggest improvements to sales strategies to the supervisor and identify slow-moving or non-selling items with action recommendations.
- Maintain a full display of products using company merchandising methods and act as an expert on the product range within Home Furnishing Business.
- Stay informed about market developments and advertising to maintain competitive advantage and advise customers accurately.
- Stay updated on changes in product range, report customer feedback on product range issues to the Sales Manager.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Sales-driven with a strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English, with Arabic preferred.
- Ability to understand customer needs and build strong relationships.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Secondary Education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar retail sales role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
