Overview Of The Role:

The QA/QC Manager is pivotal in ensuring construction quality and compliance across projects, directly protecting the company's investment by minimizing defects and rework costs. The role demands mastery of the Quality Management System, leadership in monitoring various entities' compliance, and strategic execution of continuous improvement initiatives tailored to project specifications and standards. Success in this position involves effective collaboration with project teams, supervision consultants, and contractors, alongside robust documentation management and regulatory adherence, ultimately culminating in seamless project handover and client satisfaction.


What You Will Do:

Quality Management System

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across assigned projects in accordance with company procedures and international quality standards.
  • Ensure successful implementation of QMS across all assigned projects.

 

Supervision and Evaluation

 

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Supervision Consultants to ensure effective quality control, timely inspections, contract compliance, and proper administration of quality processes.
  • Hire good calibres for the supervision team and enhance documentation cycle and quality of submittals.
  • Increase quality audits and ensure compliance with company policies, Health & Safety requirements, environmental regulations, Egyptian Building Codes, and applicable international quality standards.

 

Contractor Compliance

 

  • Monitor Contractors' compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, Egyptian Codes, and contractual requirements.
  • Reduce rejected or approved with comments submissions and ensure reduction in recurring quality defects through continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Documentation Management

 

  • Manage the complete QA/QC documentation cycle ensuring proper recording, tracking, filing, and retrieval of all quality records.
  • Ensure documentation compliance rate and audit readiness.
  • Review and monitor Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Method Statements, Material Submittals, RFIs, Mock-ups, and Testing Reports.
  • Review, monitor, and ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Preventive Actions, and Quality Observations.

 

Project Collaboration

 

  • Participate in project milestone inspections, snagging, de-snagging, practical completion, and final handover processes.
  • Ensure snag closure rate before handover and compliance with company quality objectives.



Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Proficiency in quality management systems and document control processes.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Leadership and people development.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control within the construction or real estate development industry.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure developments in Egypt.
  • Extensive knowledge of Egyptian Building Codes, construction specifications, and international quality standards.
