Overview of the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design of a diverse portfolio of real estate projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The Electrical Design Manager will work closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure that electrical systems are designed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader with strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality real estate developments.

What you will do:

• Lead the electrical design team in the creation and development of electrical systems for various real estate projects, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and low voltage systems.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical designs are well-integrated into the overall building design and are in line with project requirements.
• Oversee the electrical design of multiple real estate projects simultaneously, ensuring designs meet the scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure successful implementation.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with local, national, and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, local building codes). Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting electrical design in real estate construction.
• Review and approve all electrical design deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company standards. Implement quality control processes to prevent errors and optimize the efficiency of the design process.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of electrical designers and engineers. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment while providing training and development opportunities for team members.
• Collaborate with the project management team to establish budgets for electrical design and ensure designs remain within financial constraints. Provide accurate cost estimates and help control project costs throughout the design and implementation phases.
• Ensure that electrical designs incorporate sustainable solutions, energy-efficient systems, and smart technologies where applicable. Stay informed about new technologies and trends in the real estate sector that can enhance the performance of electrical systems.

Required Skills to be successful:

Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design within the real estate, construction, or building services industry.

What equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use development projects is preferred.
