• The Interior Designer is responsible for the visual presentation of the IKEA product range within the Furniture Showroom, aligning all designs with IKEA standards. This role requires staying informed about industry trends and utilizing creative skills to develop functional and commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectations. The designer plays a crucial role in maintaining showroom standards and contributes to the store's commercial calendar while collaborating closely with visual merchandisers and other team members on various store projects.

Commercial

• Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
• Contribute insights from home visit interviews and translate this knowledge into locally relevant, functional, commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain knowledge about home furnishing, retailing, and trends to contribute ideas in workshops.
• Assist in planning in-house projects and prepare drawings and perspectives according to the IKEA Concept.
• Implement and maintain all interiors and displays in the showroom.
• Conduct daily inspections of room settings and correct damages immediately.
• Support the planning and implementation of the store commercial calendar.
• Maintain all areas in the store in accordance with IKEA standards.
• Follow IKEA manuals to produce functional home furnishing solutions within the store.

Operational

• Involved in other projects related to activities carried out in the store including rebuilding business areas based on range feedback.
• Assist Visual Merchandisers as required in store projects or activities.

Customers

• Show customers the extension of range coordination, and offer various ideas and proposals for different rooms in the house, complete with accessories.
• Plan and decorate room settings to be inspirational for customers, offering home furnishing solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High competencies in design and creative skills.
• In-depth knowledge of home furnishing, market, and social trends.
• Ability to collaborate effectively while maintaining integrity and excellence.

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in interior design firms.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup is beneficial.
• Strong skills in drafting, space planning, interior, and architectural design.
