Role Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Life Insurance domain expertise to support business transformation and technology initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, define target processes, and support successful solution delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, challenges, and requirements.
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, process flows, and use cases.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
  • Support solution design discussions and ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.
  • Participate in system demonstrations, gap analysis, fit-gap assessments, and vendor evaluations.
  • Support testing activities including SIT and UAT by validating business requirements and test scenarios.
  • Assist in change management, training, and business readiness activities.
  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Required Skills

 

  • 7-10 years of Business Analysis experience with at least 5 years in Life Insurance.
  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
  • Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Maps, and Use Cases.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to perform gap analysis and process re-engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Experience working on Life Insurance Policy Administration Systems.
  • Exposure to digital insurance platforms, customer portals, and mobile applications.
  • Experience in PAS selection, implementation, or transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and core insurance ecosystems.
  • CBAP, CCBA, or similar Business Analysis certification would be an advantage.

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Insurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
