Associate, P2P - Treasury

Responsibilities

1.    Payment processing foreign trade, local trade, non-trade 

  • Generate payment file
  • Approve payments 
  • Ensure payment invoice accuracy and completeness
  • Manage exceptions follow up 
  • Manage payment rejection
  • Perform payment clearing
  • Monitor vendor’s payment queries
  • Manage internal/external stakeholders expectation

2.    Vendor master data management and maintenance

  • Create/ modify vendor master data
  • Review vendor master data database

3.    Month end

  • Perform month end closing posting  

4.    Bank Reconciliation

  • Download bank statements
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare loan reconciliations
  • Perform Journal entries for Funds transfer, bank fees and other miscellaneous transactions

5. Reporting and other general duties

  • Generate report which require to support audit activities 
  • Support senior associates in monitoring and tracking performance targets 
  • Participate in service improvement initiatives in RBS

 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business (or any other related fields)
  • Knowledge in IFRS / MFRS / other local regulations 
  • Audit background is preferred
  • Certified chartered accountant is preferred 

Minimum Experience:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in finance related functions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization
  • Detail-oriented and reliable

Job-Specific Skills: 

  • Proficient in English, oral and written and preferably in other languages (Chinese and Malay) is an advantage
  • Problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Well-versed in international and local accounting requirements and regulations
  • Ability to respond flexibly and empathetically to customer needs, managing their expectations effectively
