Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant Part-Time is responsible for driving sales generation and ensuring customer satisfaction within the market hall area. Key success factors include maintaining a clean and organized environment, meeting sales targets, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for customers. The role supports operational duties such as arranging products and participating in inventories, all while adhering to company policies and contributing to a collaborative sales team effort.


What You Will Do:

  • Generate sales in the market hall area by assisting and engaging with customers.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales targets and goals as set by the shopkeeper.
  • Provide customers with current relevant information regarding products and promotions.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and energetic attitude.
  • Create a positive first impression for the customer through adhering to dress code and presenting a positive attitude toward the merchandise, brand, and company.
  • Maintain the sales floor by arranging and organizing products as per guidelines.
  • Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper, including participating in market hall inventories.
  • Participate in all store meetings and other related functions to stay informed and aligned with company policies.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures 100%.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for interaction with customers.
  • Physical fitness to stand and lift stock during shifts.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School Degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 5 hours and lift products as needed.
  • Possess good verbal communication skills and a warm, friendly demeanor.
