Overview Of The Role:

  • The Sales Assistant plays a critical role in generating sales and delivering excellent customer service within the market hall area. The role involves supporting all operational tasks as assigned by the shopkeeper, such as product arrangement and maintaining the sales floor. The individual is expected to have a friendly and engaging personality, confident and helpful in interacting with the public, and physically fit for standing long hours and lifting stock. As part of a team, the assistant should possess a comprehensive understanding of retail environments like fast-moving stock and consumer goods.

What You Will Do:

General


  • Create a sparkling clean and organized environment through store maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards merchandise, the brand, and the company.
  • Complete duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
  • Participate in all market hall inventories and store meetings.
  • Adhere to designated work schedule and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Work flexibly with peers and management to accomplish duties.
  • Follow IKEA policies and procedures thoroughly.
  • Create a positive first impression for customers through energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
  • Greet customers immediately with a smile and provide current relevant information.
